Hey everyone this is a great time to watch or re-watch your favorite horse movies so I asked equestrians which ones are their favorites and these are the results

black beauty

Number 10 goes to black beauty a heartfelt and emotional film from 1994 told from the perspective of black beauty.

National Velvet

Number 9 is National Velvet starring Elizabeth Taylor and Mickey Rooney is a classic horse movie about a horse-crazy girl a high spirited gelding and a journey to train for the grand national steeplechase.

My friend Flicka

Number 8 is my friend Flicka filmed in the Rocky Mountains this movie came out in 1944 and is a story of a young boy and a horse that no one thought he could train.

Spirit

Number 7 is spirit stallion of the Cimarron this is a fun animated adventure story about a wild stallion in the Old West Matt Damon is the voice of the Kiger Mustang stallion spirits and it’s a fun film that the whole family can enjoy.

War Horse

Number 6 is War Horse directed by Steven Spielberg this is a movie that tells the story of an incredible horse named Joey during World War I one it was nominated for six Academy Awards and will keep you at the edge of your seat.

Seabiscuit

Number 5 is Seabiscuit starring Jeff Bridges and Tobey Maguire this movie is based on the true story of a horse that inspired a nation.

The black stallion

Number 4 is the black stallion when an Arabian stallion and a young boy are shipwrecked on a deserted island you know that the movie will be unforgettable.

Secretariat

Number 3 goes to Secretariat also based on a true story this movie is about a horse racing legend and his journey to becoming a champion.

The Man from Snowy River

Number 2 and my personal favorite is the Man from Snowy River it’s a coming-of-age story with an Australian cowboy wild Brumby’s breathtaking scenery and some epic horse scenes.

Hidalgo
